A missional hermeneutic is an approach to Scripture that understands the mission of God as the key conceptual framework that holds the various parts of Scripture together. Missional hermeneutics is an important conversation in light of the realities of the Gospel in the West in the early years of the 21st centuries. Scholars and practitioners alike are recognizing the need to recapture a missional ethos as the Church seeks to (re)engage culture for the sake of the Gospel.
