Alex McManus posted an excellent essay on the Four Turnings that my Asbury Seminary colleague George Hunter describes as essential for the future of the Christ following movement. The turnings are:
A turning to Jesus Christ as Lord
A turning to some form of Christ following community
A turning to Scripture
A turning to the world on mission.
