Focus for the New Year
I believe in the power of focus. It is vital for us as followers of Jesus Christ to regain focus as we enter into a New Year. We need to focus on mission, focus on people, and focus on our strengths.
For me this means:
Loving God and loving my wife and children are the two principal centers of my life. All else flows out of these vital relationships.
Here is the overflow:
1) Focus on inspiring leaders to dream and act boldly for God including a renewed effort in teaching at Asbury Theological Seminary by growing as a teaching/facilitator.
2) Deepen relationships with friends. Build new friendships with people especially persons outside of the Christian community.
3) Focus on reading Scripture missionally and disseminating the results through three media: teaching, publishing, and speaking.
